Mahigpit na tinagubilinan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mga nagsipagtapos sa Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class Maragtas of 2018 sa Silang, Cavite kahapon.
Ayon sa Pangulo, dapat maging maingat at mapagmatiyag ang mga bagong opisyal ng PNP, BFP at BJMP dahil kabilang na sila sa mga target ng New People’s Army (NPA) hit squad na may matinding banta sa pamahalaan.
Gayunman, tiniyak din ng Pangulo sa mga bagong opisyal ang kaniyang suporta kaya’t hinikayat niya ang mga ito na huwag mag-atubiling lumaban para sa bayan bilang bahagi ng kanilang pagganap sa tungkulin.
“I just like to point out 3 things, bantay kayo kasi the sparrows are very active, kayong mga may baril be sure not to display it and be sure to keep a low profile and if you enter into a place na hindi naman kilala, keep a subrosas style of movement, we are the war na itong mga NPA mainit talaga yang mga baril, well in Davao I don’t know if Inday’s been able to continue with the practice sa Davao pwedeng magdala ng baril ang pulis yung hand gun but never yung mga high powered firearms, maglalaway yang mga gago eh, tumutulo talaga ang laway.”
Binigyang diin pa ng Pangulo na hindi kaaway ng estado ang lahat ng mga Moro kaya’t hinihikayat niya ang mga institusyon para sa pulis at sundalo na tumanggap ng mas maraming mga kadeteng Moro.
“Many of the Moro people were soldiers where there many died for our country so we could nut govern this country just by selecting from the other provinces without looking towards Mindanao, and we need officers, trained, and we need to work with him in Mindanao, at isali naman natin sila, not only the Moro but a matter of fact it should be divided among the tribes, Ilokano, Bisaya, that’s of all the Philippine National Police, I hope by the next batch or the one coming up for this generation, I will have the money to give you to enlist more police officers.”
