Naglunsad na ng airstrike ang Estados Unidos kasama ang mga kaalyadong bansa na France at United Kingdom sa Syria.
Ito ay bilang tugon sa inilunsad umanong panibagong chemical attack ni Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad nagdulot ng pagkasawi ng ilang mga sibilyan sa nasabing bansa.
Ayon kay US Defense Secretary James Mattis, target ng ipinag-utos na airstrike ni President Donald Trump ang wasakin ang research center at imbakan ng mga chemical weapon ni Assad sa Damascus at Homs sa Syria.
President Trump directed the US military to conduct operations in continents with our allies to destroy the Syrian regime chemical weapons research development and production capability. France, United Kingdom and United States took decisive action to strike the Syrian chemical weapons infrastructure. Clearly the Assad regime did not get the message last year. Binigyan diin naman ni Mattis na target ng airstrike ang rehimen ni Assad at tiniyak na naging maingat sila upang walang madamay na mga sibilyan dito.

Mga Pilipino sa Syria, ligtas matapos ang missile attack ng America ayon sa DFA
Ligtas sa ngayon ang mga Pilipino sa Syria matapos ang inilunsad doong missile attack ng Amerika kaninang umaga.
Ayon kay Elmer Cato, tagapagsalita ng dept of foreign affairs, wala silang namomonitor na Pilipinong nadamay o naging casualty sa nangyaring pag-atake.
Wala rin aniyang Pilipino doon ang nagpapasaklolo sa ngayon.
Ayon sa DFA, pinapayuhan ng embahada ang 1,000 Pilipino sa Syria na manatili muna sa kani kanilang mga kabahayan.
