Isang opisyal ng Overseas Workers Welfare Administration o OWWA sa Kuwait ang kumpirmadong sinibak na sa puwesto matapos na mabigo itong umaksyon nang napaulat ang pagkawala ng pinatay na OFW na si Joanna Demafelis.
Ayon kay OWWA Administrator Hans Cacdac, mas malalim pang imbestigasyon ang isasagawa oras na dumating na sa bansa ang nasabing welfare official.
Sinabi rin ni Philippine Overseas Employment Association o POEA Chief Jing Paras na posibleng madagdagan pa ang mga matatanggal sa puwesto sa pagpapatuloy ng kanilang imbestigasyon sa kaso ni Demafelis.
“She has been recalled, the order recalled by the Secretary of Labor, her name is Sarah Concepcion, she has been recalled, there was no reply or response to the request for assistance, the investigation is not yet over in fact when she comes home there will be a deeper look into this.”
