Mga pinaburang probisyon sa tax reform bill tinukoy ni Pimentel

Pabor si Senate President Koko Pimentel sa ilang probisyong nakapaloob sa isinusulong na tax reform bill ng administrasyong Duterte.

Ayon kay Pimentel, sang-ayun siya sa reporma sa income tax bracket na aniya ay magbibigay kaluwagan sa mga taxpayers.

Gayundin ang pagpapataw ng dagdag na buwis sa mga luxury goods.

“We will rebracket and reform the compensation income tax brackets and the rates, kailangan na po yun kasi halos lahat compensation income earners ay makikita na doon sa bracket, even the richest man in the Philippines kasama na niya si middle class sa income earners bracket, so it’s time to reform that.”   

Gayunman, sinabi ni Pimentel na kanilang babantayan ng husto ang isinusulong na excise tax sa langis partikular sa diesel.

“Ang binabantayan lang natin ay yung excise tax sa diesel, kailangan kasi nagte-take advantage na yung mga mayayaman sa low tax on the diesel, so kailangan na ring i-update yung tax, ang aming strategy is to calibrate not to shock the entire system.”
