HOUSE PROSECUTORS, NILINAW NA WALA PANG PINAL NA DESISYON ANG SENATE IMPEACHMENT COURT SA KANILANG HILING NA MAIPRAYORIDAD ANG TESTIMONYA NI NBI DIR. MELVIN MATIBAG SA IMPEACHMENT TRIAL

Wala pang desisyon ang Senate Impeachment Court sa naging kahilingan ni National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag na makapagtestigo ngayong ikalawang linggo ng impeachment trial laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Ito ang nilinaw ni House Prosecutor at Manila Rep. Joel Chua, na hindi pa masasabing hinarang ang kahilingan ni Matibag dahil wala pang pinal na desisyon ang senator-judges.

Sa katunayan, ayon kay Chua, pinasusumite pa sila ng written manifestation ng Impeachment Court, partikular ang request letter, invitation letter ni Matibag mula sa dadaluhang law enforcement summit sa Thailand, at ang travel authority ng opisyal.

Ito aniya ang pagbabatayan ng hukuman upang makapagdesisyon hinggil sa kahilingan ni Matibag.

Paliwanag ni Chua, masyado nang matagal kung hihintayin pang makabalik si Matibag sa Pilipinas.

Iginiit ng prosecutor ang kahalagahan ng testimonya ni Matibag bilang isa sa mga witness ng prosecution na may kaugnayan sa Article IV o bantang pagpapapatay ni VP Sara laban kina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, at dating House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

FUEL PRICE HIKE SA JULY 14, INILABAS NG DOE

Ibinahagi ng Department of Energy (DOE) ang adjustment ng presyo ng mga produktong petrolyo na mabibigyang bisa sa linggo ng Hulyo 14-20, 2026. Ang mga sumusunod ay ang mga pinahihintulutang pagbabago sa presyo ng petrolyo:

Gasoline: Mula sa ₱1 na bawas kada litro hanggang sa ₱1 na dagdag kada litro. Diesel: Mula P2.62/L ay tataas ng P4.62/L Kerosene: Mula P2.22/L ay tataas ng P4.22/L

Kaugnay ang mga pagbabagong ito sa paggalaw ng pandaigdigang merkado ng langis, habang patuloy na naaapektuhan ang suplay at presyo nito dahil sa kasalukuyang kaganapan sa Middle East.

Ayon kay DOE Secretary Sharon Garin, “Because of the volatility in the market and the international situation, particularly in the Middle East, if conditions do not stabilize, we will change the format of next week’s fuel price announcement.”

NBI, INIREKOMENDA ANG KASO VS BALDWIN AT IBA PA

Inirekomenda ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa Department of Justice (DOJ) nitong Lunes, Hulyo 13, ang pagsasampa ng kaso laban sa dating Ateneo de Manila University men’s basketball head coach Tab Baldwin at labing-isa (11) pang indibidwal.

Ang rekomendasyon ay kasunod ng imbestigasyon ng NBI Homicide Division kaugnay sa insidente ng pagkalunod ng Ateneo student-athletes na sina Rene Baterbonia at Divine Adili sa isang training activity sa Dipaculao, Aurora noong Hunyo 8.

Inihain ng NBI ang reklamong reckless imprudence resulting in two (2) counts of homicide laban kina:

– Francisco Zubia III y Barangan (Resort Owner and Manager)
– Frederick Zubia y Barangan (Resort Owner and Manager)
– Yedda Mary Molina Rubio (Resort Co-Manager)

Kabilang din sa rekomendasyon ng NBI ang pagsasampa ng administrative case mula sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) laban sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Dipaculao, Aurora.

NASA 2,500 PILIPINONG TRIPULANTE, NANANATILING STRANDED SA PERSIAN GULF

Nasa 2,500 Filipino seafarers ang nananatiling stranded sa Persian Gulf dahil sa muling pagsiklab ng tensyon sa pagitan ng Estados Unidos at Iran.

Ayon sa International Maritime Organization (IMO), kabilang ang mga Pilipino sa tinatayang 6,000 International seafarers na hindi pa makalabas sa nasabing rehiyon.

Sinubukan naman ng IMO na mailikas ang ilang sasakyang pandagat sa baybayin ng Oman, ngunit inulat na pinaputukan ito ng Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, na ikinasawi ng ilang Indian marines.

Samantala, patuloy na binabantayan ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) ang sitwasyon sa Persian Gulf.

Kinumpirma ni DMW secretary Hans Leo Cacdac na hindi pa makatawid sa Strait of Hormuz ang nasa 2,500 Pilipinong tripulante dahil sa patuloy na panganib sa lugar.

MAY ARI NG SUV NA SANGKOT SA HIT-AND-RUN INCIDENT SA MANDALUYONG CITY, HINDI MYEMBRO NG KAMARA – SECGEN

Itinanggi ng Kamara na miyembro nito ang nakarehistrong may-ari ng SUV na sangkot sa hit-and-run sa Mandaluyong City.

Ayon kay House Secretary General Cheloy Garafil, lumabas sa beripikasyon ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) na hindi miyembro ng House of Representatives ang rehistradong may-ari ng Toyota Land Cruiser.

Sinabi rin ni Garafil na wala ring tala na nabigyan ang nasabing sasakyan ng vehicle pass sa ika-19 at ika-20 Kongreso.

Nauna nang naglabas ang LTO ng show-cause order laban sa rehistradong may-ari at driver ng SUV dahil sa posibleng paglabag tulad ng Tampering of Authorized Motor Vehicle License Plates, Reckless Driving, at Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle.

Nakuhanan ng CCTV ang insidente, kung saan makikitang may sticker ng House of Representatives na nakatakip sa conduction sticker ng sasakyan.

Isang angkas sa motorsiklo ang nasawi sa nasabing hit-and-run.

P2.5-B KITA, NAWALA SA TATLONG BUWANG TAX BREAK SA LPG AT KEROSENE

Sumampa sa mahigit P2-B ang nawalang kita ng pamahalaan dahil sa suspensyon ng excise tax sa Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) at kerosene o gaas sa loob ng tatlong buwan.

Batay ito sa datos ng Department of Finance kasunod ng anunsyo na nagtapos na ang suspensyon sa pangongolekta ng excise tax sa LPG at kerosene.

Isinagawa ng naturang hakbang matapos bumaba sa 79.45 dollars ang kada bariles ng dubai crude oil sa Mean of Platts Singapore na mas mababa sa itinakdang 80-dollar-per-barrel threshold, alinsunod sa Executive Order 114.
