Nabigo ang Office of the Vice President na makapagsumite ng official receipts sa liquidation report nito sa 125 million peso confidential funds noong 2022.
Ito ang ibinunyag testigo ng prosekusyon na si Atty. Roderick Wamil, dating state auditor ng Commission on Audit – Intelligence and Confidential Funds Audit Office (COA-ICFAO) mula Setyembre 2014 hanggang Pebrero 2024.
Sa ika-labing-tatlong araw ng impeachment trial, nilinaw ni Wamil, 849 acknowledgment receipts o A.R. ang isinumite ng OVP at DepEd sa liquidation report.
Bagaman hindi niya masabi na standard practice ito, aminado si Wamil na ito ang kauna-unahang beses na pawang A.R. ang isinumite sa kanila.
Mandato, aniya, ng mga government agencies na gumagamit ng confidential and intelligence funds na magsumite ng supporting documents, gaya ng sales invoice o official receipts para sa kani-kanilang liquidation reports.
Si Wamil ay isa sa testigo para sa Article 1 ng impeachment case, na nag-a-akusa kay Vice President Sara Duterte ng paglabag dahil sa systematic, misappropriation, at irregular liquidation ng confidential funds na 625 million pesos ng OVP at DepEd.
