Inaasahan na sa susunod na tatlong buwan mabubuo ang La Niña.

Gayunman, batay sa latest forecast ng United Nations Weather Agency, inaasahang magiging mahina at panandalian lamang ang pagpasok ng La Niña.

Ayon kay World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Secretary General Celeste Saulo, 55% ang posibilidad na mabuo ang La Niña conditions ngayong buwan ng Disyembre hanggang Pebrero 2025.

Paliwanag ng Kalihim, ang nabuong El Niño ngayong taong ay  may pinakamainit na temperatura, ngunit hindi naman sapat ang pagpasok ng tag-lamig upang mabalanse ang epekto ng heat-trapping greenhouse gases. –  Sa panulat ni Jeraline Doinog

Umaasa si Education Secretary Sonny Angara na tutugunan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang pagkaltas ng 12 bilyong piso na budget ng Department of Education (DEPED) para sa taong 2025.

Iginiit ni Secretary Angara ang kahalagahan sa pag-prayoridad sa pagpopondo para sa edukasyon.

Nalulungkot anya siya na hindi naulit sa 2025 budget ang pagtaas ng kongreso sa budget ng DEPED nuong mga nakaraang taon.

Tiniyak ni Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian sa publiko na hindi mapapasakamay nang sinumang pulitiko ang pagpapatupad ng Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program o ang AKAP na may 26 billion pesos na pondo sa ilalim ng 2025 national budget.

Ayon sa Kalihim, hindi kailangan ng mga posibleng benepisyaryo ng programa ang anumang request mula sa opisyal ng pamahalaan.

Tanging DSWD lamang aniya ang magpapatupad sa programa at bawat mapipiling benepisyaryo ay daraan sa assessment ng social workers ng kagawaran.

Hinamon ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang mga mambabatas na  imbestigahan din ang  confidential at intelligence fund ng Office of the President noong 2023.

Ito ang sinabi ni VP Sara kasunod ng ulat ng  commission on audit na nanguna sa paggasta ang tanggapan ni Pangulong Ferdnand Marcos Jr.

Ayon pa sa Bise Presidente, kung pakay talaga ng kamara sa pagbusisi sa pondo ng kanyang tanggapan na makabuo ng batas hinggil sa confidential funds dapat ay imbestigahan lahat maging ang tanggapan ng Pangulo.

Kinukonsidera ni Senate Blue Ribbon Committee Chairperson Pia Cayetano na kwestiyunin ang Korte Suprema kaugnay sa hindi pagbibigay ng subsidy funds sa PhilHealth para sa 2025.

Binigyang-diin ni Senador Cayetano sa DWIZ na isa itong paglabag sa sin tax law.

Paglilinaw ng Philhealth, ang nasabing halaga ay gagamitin sa kanilang anibersaryo sa susunod na taon.

Binigyang diin pa ng ahensiya na, misinformed si Dr. Leachon kaugnay sa nasabing budget at sinabing tumatalima sila sa kautusan ng malacañang na iwasan magagarbong christmas party.

Hindi na matutuloy ang pagbisita ng pamilya ni Mary Jane Veloso sa Indonesia.

Ito ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the Undersecretary for Migration Affairs, ay dahil nakatakda na ngayong araw ang pagbiyahe ni Mary Jane papuntang Jakarta para sa pagsisimula ng proseso ng kanyang pag-uwi sa Pilipinas.

Dagdag pa ng DFA, alinsunod ito sa utos ng ng Indonesian Ministry for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections.

Sinabi naman ng pamilya Veloso, bagama’t nanghihinayang sila dahil hindi matutuloy ang kanilang pagbisita mula December 16 hanggang December 18, ay masayanaman sila dahil nalalapit na ang pag-uwi ni Mary Jane.

Sa kasalukuyan, wala pang eksaktong petsa kung kailan makakabalik ng Pilipinas si Mary Jane.

Sanib-pwersa na ang Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission at Department of Social Welfare and Development para tugunan ang pangangailangan ng mahigit dalawampung anak ng mga dating empleyado ng Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator o POGO.

Ayon kay PAOCC Executive Director Gilbert Cruz, sa ngayon ay mayroong 24 na POGO babies ang kanilang sinusuportahan kabilang ang pagsagot sa hospitalization ng mga ito kung kinakailangan.

Nasa kustodiya ng ahensya ang nasa 400 foreign nationals na dating empleyado ng mga POGO at hanggang nitong buwan lamang ay naipa-deport nila ang 250 iba pa.

Matatandaang ipinag-utos ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang total POGO ban hanggang sa pagtatapos ng taon sa kanyang ikatlong state of the nation address noong Hulyo.
