Hinirang bilang “model city” pagdating sa pagtugon sa coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic ang Taguig City.
Sa launching ng city’s vaccination centers, sinabi ni vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. na maituturing na inspirasyon ang Taguig sa ibang local government units pagdating sa mga hakbangin nito para labanan at harapin ang COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is a testament of the outstanding leadership shown by Mayor Lino Cayetano and the proactive strategy of your local government to contain and mitigate the spread of the virus,” ani Galvez.
Ikinatuwana naman ito ni Mayor Lino Cayetano at binigyang diin ang mahigpit na pagpapatupad sa lungsod ng health measures at quarantine protocols.
“We are really happy that Taguig can be considered a model city because we strictly enforce rules, listen to experts, and work closely with the national government. We really want to be a model city in terms of cooperation, unity, and execution,” tugon ni Cayetano.
Maliban dito, nakikinig din aniya sila sa mga payo ng eksperto at palaging nakikipag-ugnayan sa national government.
Taguigeños need to stay vigilant. We need to continue to cooperate with the city government and follow the health and safety protocols at all times while we are waiting for the vaccines and their doses to be administered for the vaccination,” dagdag pa ni Cayetano.
