Umabot na sa 149 na Certificates of Canvass (COC) ang natapos nang i-canvass ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na nagsisilbing National Board of Canvassers (NBOC).

Mula ito sa kabuuang bilang na 173 COC na para sa mga kandidatong senador at party-list groups.

Sa report ng NBOC na inilabas nitong Biyernes, 24 na COC na lamang ang hindi naka-canvass.

Nangunguna pa rin sa partial at official results sa senatorial race ang aktor na si Robin Padilla na mayroong 26, 454, 562 na boto.

Pangalawa si Loren Legarda, 23, 992, 761; Raffy Tulfo, 23, 166, 449; Sherwin Gatchalian, 20, 376, 009; Chiz Escudero, 20, 050, 377;

Ang ikaapat na canvass report ng Comelec ay ilalabas ngayong araw.

Sa pagbalik naman ng sesyon ng kongreso sa Mayo 23 gagawin ang canvassing para sa presidential at vice-presidential votes.

Umalma ang ilang negosyante sa Bacolod City dahil sa inaprubahang dagdag sahod ng Regional Tripartite Wage and Productivity Board para sa mga manggagawa sa Western Visayas.

Ayon kay Frank Carbon, presidente ng Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI), hirap pa ang mga kumpanyang tumugon dito dahil sa epekto pa rin sa mga negosyo ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Maliban pa ito sa mga bagyo at pag-iwan ng bakas sa ekonomiya ng giyera sa pagitan ng Russia at Ukraine.

Matatandaang sa kautusan, sasakupin nito ang lahat ng minimum wage earners sa Western Visayas.

Naitala ng Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) ang 98.39% nagtugmang manually-audited copies ng Election Returns sa electronically-transmitted results.

Kabilang ito sa second batch nang na-encode na physical copies ng Election Returns kung saan 28.5% o 30, 727 ERs ang isinama.

Dahil sa ulat, tiyak ang pangunguna nina Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at Sara Duterte-Carpio sa partial manual audit ng PPCRV.

Samantala, sa isyu ng 1.67 mismatch, ipinaliwanag ng PPCRV na hindi ito dapat ikabahala, dahil 42 ERs ang hindi pa nag-match, 203 ERs ang ayaw mag-match at 240 ERs ang isasailalim sa beripikasyon.

Pormal nang ipinaabot ng Department of Education (DepEd) sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang hirit nitong P3-K na overtime pay para sa mga gurong nagsilbi sa Halalan.

Ayon sa DepEd, nakikipag-usap na sa poll body sina Education Undersecretary for Administration Alain Del Pascua na nangunguna sa DepEd Election Task Force at Procurement Management Service Director Atty. Marcelo Bragado.

Kasama sa idinetalyeng dahilan para maaprubahan ang hirap na naranasan ng mga guro noong Hatol ng Bayan 2022 kung saan maraming Vote Counting Machines (VCMs) ang nagkaproblema at isyu sa SD cards.

Bago o pagsapit ng Mayo 24, inaasahang ilalabas na ng DepEd ang honoraria at iba pang allowance sa mga guro alinsunod sa Comelec Resolution no. 10727.

Inaprubahan na ng Regional Wage Board ang dagdag sahod para sa mga manggagawa sa Metro Manila at Western Visayas.

Ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), naglabas ng wage order ang Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) – National Capital Region nitong Mayo a-13.

Nakapalood sa kautusan ang P33 na taas-sahod kada araw  sa minimum wage earners sa NCR.

Dahil dito, inaasahang papalo na sa P570 ang minimum wage sa Non-Agriculture sector sa NCR at P533 sa mga nasa agriculture sector.

Maliban sa NCR, inaprubahan din ng Wage Board ang umento sa sahod ng mga manggagawa sa Western Visayas ng naglalaro sa P55 hanggang P110.

Kasama ito sa  umento na P500 sa sahod ng mga kasambahay sa Western Visayas.

Hinigpitan pa ang seguridad sa Quezon City Jail kasunod na nangyaring riot nitong Biyernes.

Ayon kay Midzfar Omar, tagapagsalita ng Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), binabantayan na ng BJMP Star Team at ng SWAT Team ng QCPD ang Quezon City Jail sa Kamuning.

Isa ang nasawi sa gulo noong Biyernes habang siyam ang nasugatan.

Nagsimula ang gulo pasado alas-3 ng hapon sa Basketball Court ng piitan, sa pagitan ng grupong Batang City Jail at Commando Group.

Umabot na sa 48.31% o 52, 066 Physical Election Returns ang hawak ng Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) para sa manual validation count.

Ginagawa ito ng PPCRV upang maikumpara ang physical Election Returns (ERs) sa electronically transmitted results.

Tatagal ang manual encoding hanggang Mayo a-20.

Samantala, kaugnay sa alegasyong iregularidad sa eleksyon, sinabi ng PPCRV na kaya mabilis ang outcome dahil mababa ang required data na ipinapadala ng mga Vote Counting Machine sa Transparency Servers.

Malayo ang pagkakaiba nito noong 2019 midterm elections kung saan pitong oras ang itinagal ng data transmission.

ACKNOWLEDGING the immense task that would befall the congressmen in the upcoming 19th Congress, House Speakership contender, Majority Leader and Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin G. Romualdez called on his solon-colleagues Saturday to set aside their colors and politics in order to get the job done for the sake of Filipinos.

“Again we are following the theme, the message and the desire of the incoming administartion of President Bongbong Marcos of unity,” Romualdez told reporters in an ambush interview during a gathering of Party-list Coalition Foundation, Inc. (PCFI) members in Rockwell, Makati City where Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co was named the incoming president of the group in the 19th Congress.

Deputy Speaker and 1-Pacman party-list Rep. Mikee Romero is the present PCFI president.

Romualdez was reacting to a laudable gesture made by Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos toward retired Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Rowena Guanzon wherein Marcos shook Guanzon’s hand.

Sandro, Bongbong’s eldest son, is being mentored by Romualdez.

“Tapos na yung eleksyon, tapos na yung politika. Magtrabaho na tayong lahat, magkaisa na tayong lahat, isang bansa, isang Pilipino. Lahat-lahat tayo para sa Pilipino,” Romualdez said as if to remind the incoming members of the House of Representatives.

“So thats what we all are about. We are about the House of the people, the House of Representatives of the Phiippines. We are for every Filipino. No more colors no more politics work,” added Romualdez, the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) President.

Incidentally, the UniTeam tandem of presumptive President Marcos and presumptive Vice President Sara Duterte extensively spoke about casting aside political colors once the May 9 elections are over.

Doing so will pave the way for the country to achieve much-needed unity especially in the face of the coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic, the tandem said.

“So when we start with unity, they always say, when there is unity, there is strength. Where there is strength, there is resolve; political will to do the right thing by the Filipino people,” Romualdez said.

“The House of Representatives is the house of the people and we have to serve the people particularly in this time of the pandemic. We hope that we will be reaching the endemic stage but we have to reinvigorate and restart the economy for livelihood, jobs, and of course for the education and health of every Filipino,” Romualdez underscored.

Tiniyak ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na makakaboto ang halos 2,000 Filipino registered voters sa Shanghai, China.

Ayon kay Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco, magdaraos sila ng special polls para sa mga kababayan natin sa Shanghai sa oras na lumuwag ang Covid-19 lockdown doon.

Mahalaga aniya ang espesyal na halalan upang hindi matanggal sa listahan ng mga botante ang mga Pinoy sa naturang bansa.
