Kumbinsido ang AFP o Armed Forces of the Philippines na tanging si Omar Maute na lamang ang natitira sa mga Maute brothers na tumatayong lider ng grupong Maute.
Gayunman, sinabi ni Brigadier General Restituto Padilla, spokesman ng AFP, na patuloy silang nagsisikap na mahanap ang labi ng mga lider ng Maute.
Ayon kay Padilla, tuloy-tuloy ang kanilang opensiba laban sa mga natitira pang terorista na aniya, ay limitado na lamang ang pagkilos sa dalawampung (20) ektaryang lugar.

MSU muling isinara

Ayon kay Brigadier General Restituto Padilla, spokesman ng Armed Forces of the Philippines, pinalakas pa nila ang pagbabantay ng Task Group Lanao sa mga kalsada sa lugar ng MSU upang matiyak na ligtas ang lahat.
Bagamat sarado aniya ang MSU, tuloy naman ang aktibidad sa loob ng unibersidad.

Sa mahigit isandaang araw ng labanan sa Marawi City, pumalo na sa 653 ang napatay na terorista at 145 sundalo.
Tinataya aniyang mayroon pang 40 hanggang 50 terorista na may hawak na 20 hanggang 30 hostages.
