Tiniyak ni Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) Chief Operating Officer Ramon Suzara na inihanda na silang contingency measures sa lahat ng sporting event sa 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
Ito ay sa gitna na rin ng banta ng bagyong Kammuri na inaasahang tatama sa bahagi ng Bicol Region sa mga susunod na araw.
Ayon kay Suzara, nakadepende sa magiging rekomendasyon ng technical delegate at iba’t-ibang international federation ang posibilidad ng kanselasyon o pagkakaantala sa ilan sa mga outdoor competition.
Aniya hindi maaaring magbago ng venue kaya posibleng hihintayin na lamang na umayos ang panahon.
We are ready for this and we need to place this form, I think what is important now all competition managers and technical delegate should already prepare incase the competition are cancelled in a few hours or in one day then there should be a change in the competition format for each sports so, normally some sports; the games are not cancelled but the public are not allowed to watch,” ani Suzara.
