Inihain na sa Supreme Court ng grupo ni dating Commission on Elections o COMELEC Chairman Christian Monsod, isa sa mga bumalangkas sa 1987 Constitution ang ika-apat na petisyon kontra martial law extension sa Mindanao.
Kabilang sa mga petitioner sina Dinagat Islands Lone District Representative Arlene “Kaka” Bag-Ao, Rey Paolo Santiago, Nolasco Ritz Lee Santos III, Marie Hazel Lavitoria, Nicolene Arcaina at Jose Ryan Pelongco.
Respondent sa nasabing petisyon sina Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Armed Forces Chief of Staff, General Rey Guerrero, Senate President Aquilino Pimentel the Third at House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
Gaya ng mga naunang tatlong petitioner, iginiit nina Monsod na walang sapat na batayan upang palawigin ang batas militar sa Mindanao at tapos na ang sagupaan sa Marawi City.
