Kinuwestiyon ni Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon kung bakit hindi dumaan sa Management Screening and Evaluation Committee (MSEC) si dating Calauan Mayor Antonio Sanchez.
Ayon ay Drilon, mandatory sa ilalim ng batas na maisalang sa MSEC ang mga nag-aapply para mabawasan ang haba ng sentensya at maagang makalaya sa pamamagian ng Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA).
In none of the minutes of the MSEC meetings which minutes are required by law to be done, in none of them is the case of [former] mayor Antonio Sanchez taken up, whether he is qualified or not, and therefore, the conclusion was the case of Mr. Sanchez did not pass through the MSEC as required by law because the minutes that is submitted does not indicate at any day or any meeting that [former] mayor Sanchez case was taken up,” ani Drilon.
Depensa naman ni dating BuCor Chief Nicanor Faeldon, marami nang dinadaanan ang mga papeles tulad ng rekomendasyon para sa pagpapalaya kay dating Calauan mayor.
It passes also through the Directorate for Security and Operations before it goes to the deputy director general for Security and Operations, so, when I look at those signatures and they recommended for the release, then, that means, my assumption is all the other requirements from the start of the documentation and validation has been complied,” depensa ni Faeldon.
