Handa si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na ideklara ang buong Mindanao bilang isang land reform area at ipamahagi ang mga lupain ng gobyerno kabilang ang mga military camp sa mga mamamayan sa oras na makamit ang kapayapaan.
Sa kanyang talumpati sa turnover ceremony ng nasa 900 surrendered firearms sa Buluan, Maguindanao, iginiit ng Pangulo na walang mangyayari kung hindi gagamitin para sa ikauunlad ng Mindanao ang mga bakanteng lupa ng gobyerno.
“I’ll give it all to you. You find a public land, including those where military camps are situated, that’s yours.”
“Nothing will happen to it.”
“I will give it all, you plant rubber, you plant palm oil.”
Kasabay nito iginiit ng Punong Ehekutibo na dapat ng madaliin ang pagpasa sa Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL).
“So let us fast track the BBL. The BBL does not mean all of Mindanao will be for the Moro. It would be like the Liberal or (Nacionalista) party. It will amplify the voice of the Moro for the national government to listen to.”
“I am promising you it will pass before May. If not, I will resign from the Presidency. It’s all yours.”
