Binuhay ng Department of Health (DOH) ang Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
Kasunod na rin ito ng ‘novel coronavirus scare’ na nagmula sa Wuhan City sa China.
Ang nasabing task force ay binubuo ng mga opisyal ng DOH, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Civil Aeronautics Board, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) at Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
