Sanib-pwersa na ang Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission at Department of Social Welfare and Development para tugunan ang pangangailangan ng mahigit dalawampung anak ng mga dating empleyado ng Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator o POGO.

Ayon kay PAOCC Executive Director Gilbert Cruz, sa ngayon ay mayroong 24 na POGO babies ang kanilang sinusuportahan kabilang ang pagsagot sa hospitalization ng mga ito kung kinakailangan.

Nasa kustodiya ng ahensya ang nasa 400 foreign nationals na dating empleyado ng mga POGO at hanggang nitong buwan lamang ay naipa-deport nila ang 250 iba pa.

Matatandaang ipinag-utos ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang total POGO ban hanggang sa pagtatapos ng taon sa kanyang ikatlong state of the nation address noong Hulyo.

Umaasa pa rin ang Makabayan Bloc na matatalakay pa ang mga inihaing impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Ito ay kahit pa mayroon na lamang tatlong araw ang kongreso bago mag-adjourn para sa holiday season.

Ayon kay ACT Teachers Partylist Representative France Castro, naghihintay pa ang ibang mambabatas ng development at instruction mula sa kanilang party leaders, dahil inaasahan pa ang paghahain ng ikatlong complaint bago mag-adjourn ang sesyon.

Una nang kinumpirma ni House Secretary Reginald Velasco na hindi pa naipapadala ang kasalukuyang dalawang impeachment complaint sa Office of the Speaker dahil inaasahan pa ang paghahain ng reklamo ng ibang sektor.

Sa kabila naman ng pagkagipit sa oras, tiwala si Congresswoman Castro na kung susubukan ng mga kongresista, madali na lamang ang pagtalakay sa impeachment laban kay VP Sara. – Sa panualt ni Laica Cuevas

Nanindigan si Vice President Sara Duterte na hindi niya kailangang ipaliwanag kung paano ginasta ang confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President at Department of Education.

Ayon kay VP Sara, sasagot lamang siya sa mga katanungan ng Commission on Audit at iginiit na hindi mandato ng kamara na tanungin kung paano niya ginamit ang nasabing pondo.

Tumanggi rin ang Pangalawang Pangulo na ipaliwanag ang mahigit 400 mga pangalan na nakita sa acknowledgment receipts ng kanyang confidential funds, na nabatid ay wala sa National Registry ng Philippine Statistics Authority.

Ipinunto ng Bise-Presidente na kung magsasalita siya ukol sa nasabing pondo, masasangkalan dito ang intelligence operations na aniya ay isang paglabag sa batas.

Mayorya ng mga Pilipino ang bumuti ang buhay kumpara noong kasagsagan ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Sa resulta ng survey na ginawa ng market research company na IPSOS, 49% ng mga Pilipino ang nagsabing bumuti ang kanilang financial situation kumpara noong unang bahagi ng 2020.

Sa nabanggit na bilang, 17% ang nagsabi na “much better off,” ang kanilang pamumuhay habang 32% naman ang nagsabi na “little better off.”

Kaugnay nito, 17% rin ng mga Pilipino ang nagsabing naging “a little worse off” ang kabilang pamumuhay matapos ang pandemya, 7% ang nagsabing “much worse off” at 25% ang nagsabi na hindi bumuti ngunit hindi rin naman lumala ang kanilang katayuan.

Sinabi ng IPSOS na lumagpas sa global average ang optimistic outlook ng pilipinas na itinakda sa 37%.

Tatlong weather systems ang kasalukuyang nakakaapekto sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Ayon sa PAGASA, mayroong posibilidad na magkaroon ng bagyo bago sumapit ang pasko.

Batay sa forecast ng weather bureau, maaaring mabuo ang tropical cyclone-like vortex mula December 20 hanggang December 26.

Mino-monitor din ng pagasa ang isang vortex mula sa hilaga-silangang bahagi ng Philippine Area of Responsibility na may tsansang maging isang cyclone pagdating ng December 19.

Ayon sa Korte Suprema, ito ay 37.84% mula sa kabuuang bilang ng kumuha ng nasabing pagsusulit.

Dagdag pa nito, mas mataas ang nakapasa ngayong taon kumpara noong 2023 na mayroong 3,812 na nakapasa.

Nanguna naman sa bar exams ang University of the Philippines College of Law student na si Kyle Christian Tutor na may rating na 85.77%.
