Sinibak ng Armed Forces of the Philippines si Col. Raymund Dante Lachica bilang commander ng AFP Security and Protection Group, na nagbibigay ng seguridad para kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ayon kay AFP Public Affairs Office Chief Col. Xerxes Trinidad, mula sa pagiging commander ng ASPG, na dating kilala rin bilang Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group, ni-reassign si Col. Lachica sa Philippine Army noong Oktubre a-kwatro.
Sinabi ni Col. Trinidad na ang reassignment ni Col. Lachica ay may kinalaman sa kinakaharap nitong kaso sa Ombudsman na sinasabing may kaugnayan sa confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President noong 2022.
Nabatid na inirekomenda ng Kamara ang pagsasampa ng kasong plunder, technical malversation, bribery, at corruption charges laban kay Col. Lachica at Col. Dennis Nolasco dahil sa sinasabing maling paggamit sa pondo ng OVP.
